This few weeks have been crazy for me. Dealing with school, work and the summer time. The couple of weeks was tough for me because I had to adapt to school work while also dealing with the summertime. The first couple assignments were pretty easy but yet I still struggle because it's been a while since I did some college school work.
I had a tough time writing a short story because I didn’t know where to start. What helped me the most was the book and the lecture online. I had the idea to write the story but I wasn’t writing the material in a good way. After the short story assignments were done, we were on the poems. I love poems so I thought I would ace the assignments. I was wrong. I thought poetry was all about rhyming after every sentences and making sure it sounds good. But I was corrected by my Professor. rhyming is a form to grab the reader but it is not necessary to write a poem. After that topic was over I thought I had a good understanding what poetry is after the assignments was over
We were four weeks into the course and I thought I was doing alright but then the One Act Play assignments were coming up. I had a tough time trying to come up with a play because I never wrote these kind of stuff. So, I had a tough time coming up with ideas to write about Again, the book and lectures were the things that help me out the most. I had the ideas but the format and writing was still kind of confusing so I began to study more work of plays and began to revise me One Act play and so far, everything turn out great.
After all the assignments were completed. I felt like I did great over the past few weeks because I manage to deal with work, school and summertime. It felt great because I learned a lot over the past few weeks and also dealt with the summer heat. Who wants to do school work on a hot summer day? I guessing no one. I enjoyed this summer course and I hope I can use my skills to write short stories, poetry, and plays in the future.
